Parenting: Arguing in Front of Your Kids

It goes without saying that no relationship is perfect. We’ve all gone through moments where we couldn’t be around our significant others without fighting. Even in the healthiest relationships, there will be disagreements — That’s human nature.

But when it comes to fighting in front of your kids, more often than not, we’re too caught up in the (heated) moment to notice that our kids have front row seats. We have to ask ourselves if it’s worth yelling at each other if it leads to long term negative communication patterns in their lives.

As parents, how do we model healthy communication for our kids? Is it more important to resolve the conflict or hide the conflict behind closed doors?
