Online registration for this year’s Psychotherapy Networker Symposium—From Attachment to Creativity: Accessing Our Resources for Change—is now live, with 125 different workshops, a faculty of psychotherapy’s most outstanding contributors, and a lineup of featured speakers including Susan Johnson, David Whyte, Rick Hanson, and ME! My workshops are on Thursday (a full day pre-conference workshop) and two workshops on Saturday – here are the descriptions:
The Intentional Divorce – Helping Couples Separate with Dignity Divorce with dignity may sound like an oxymoron, but it’s possible. You’ll learn specific strategies to guide both partners through the end of a marriage with integrity and respect for one another.
The Rules of the New Monogamy – The Future of Committed Relationships As therapists it is important to understand how couples are negotiating their monogamy in new ways including open marriage and polyamory. In this workshop you’ll learn to coach clients through all phases of an intentional partnership, no matter what form it may take.
And my pre-conference one day course:
Expanding your Sexual Comfort Zone – Getting Beyond Myths and Stereotypes Working with sexual issues in therapy can challenge a therapist’s own values and deeply held beliefs about sex and relationships. This introduction to sex therapy will include videos, demonstrations, and discussion around sexual practice, providing essential training to help therapists face their own preconceived notions and countertransference issues around eroticism and intimacy.
The Symposium really is the place to be for the most important new trends and advances in our field. This year’s Symposium will expand your vision of the therapist you want to become.
