Service Description
Established clients work with Dr. Nelson for 45 minutes via phone or Zoom. Sessions are for clients of any orientation, gender, or relationship status. During the individual therapy sessions, we will use a variety of techniques to create a safe space to work on creating the life you desire. Individual therapy can focus on many things, depending on what you want to work on and what you are looking to change in your life. Individual psychotherapy sessions with me can be 45 minutes or longer. In our session we will discuss some of your emotional and psychosexual history. We will focus, however, on your current issues. Using my many years of expertise and counseling experience, we will work together to heal your relationship problems and move forward to create the life you desire. I may recommend adjunctive treatment, including couple’s therapy, or recommend an assessment with a medical provider if necessary. If you are coming for Sex Therapy, there are no intrusive medical procedures involved in sexology. There is never physical touch or inappropriate contact between therapist and client. You will not practice hands-on sexual coaching or exercises during the sessions but you may have take home exercises for practice. Sex therapy can help with desire discrepancies, erectile issues, affairs, sex addiction, and orgasmic dysfunction and pain. Pleasurable sex is important for all couples as well as creating emotional intimacy in a sexual and erotic relationship.
