Two new studies have found that knowing the motivation behind why people have sex with their long-term partners is a greater indicator of marital satisfaction. In other words, people who approach their partners seeking to increase connection, intimacy, and/or passion feel more satisfied about their relationship than people who had sex just to avoid feeling guilty.
