https://wendische-volkspartei.de caught my attention while reading the point that men often cheat for variety while women tend to cite emotional dissatisfaction, since that split says less about gender than about what each person feels is missing. The idea that opportunity and timing matter as much as relationship quality is one I've seen play out among friends, where a rough patch plus the wrong moment did more damage than any fundamental incompatibility. It makes me think the real question isn't who cheats more but what people are actually looking for when they do.
